| Pride Report 2006: Another Fabulous Parade!Each year, San Diego is host to a gay pride parade and festival that draws over 100,000 people. Once again this year, under the leadership of Mark V., a cadre of volunteers assembled a beautiful float for the parade. The float won the parade's "Best Community Organization" award! Many members of the congregation, both gay and straight, rode on or walked with the float. This year for the first time, we also had a presence inside the Pride Festival at the new Interfaith Pavilion. Our presence in the parade and Festival bears concrete witness to God's (and PB UMC's) welcome of all people, regardless of sexual orientation.
